Suns beat Kings 113-109

Turning to the NBA and a game between Western Conference rivals, the Phoenix Suns taking on the Sacramentop Kings. This a showdown between one of the NBA's established superstars at the point guard position in the Suns Steve Nash, and one of the rising stars in the game in the Kings superb rookie Tyreke Evans.

First quarter: Israeli national Omri Casspi threw down a dunk for the Kings. He knotted the game at 13-all.
Second quarter: Phoenix pulled away, Jared Dudley made it a 13 point lead for the Suns.

Third quarter: Jason Thompson blocked Dudley and scored at the other end. The Kings fought back from a 20-point deficit to get to within six late in the third quarter.

Fourth quarter: Sacramento grabs a Phoenix turnover. Casspi hits from 3 point range, the Kings trail by four early in the 4th quarter.

Later, Sacramento down by two. Andres Nocioni banks it home off a no-look pass from Kings star rookie Tyreke Evans. The game is tied at 88-all.

But the Suns went on a 7-0 run. Jason Richardson drained a three-pointer from the corner. Phoenix took a 95-88 lead with seven-and-a-half minutes left in the game.

But it wasn't over yet, Evans stole the ball from Steve Nash and cruised in for a slam to cut the deficit to five. Evans led the Kings with 27 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Then, Beno Udrih scored 8 straight points for the Kings. He tied the game again at 103-all with less than 2 minutes left.

It came down to Steve Nash with 44 seconds left in regulation. He dropped in a long two to put the Suns in front 103-99.

Nash had 30 points and 12 assists. Phoenix beat Sacramento 113-109, and ended a seven-game road losing streak.
